Our NY location is formerly known as House of Monkey Tattoo. In 1999, Robert Pho opened his first studio in North Carolina and Skin Design Tattoo was born. The bureaucratic red tape and disapproval he faced forced him to become an activist for his art form and to prove that Skin Design Tattoo could be a beneficial member of the community. Just a few years later, he relocated to Las Vegas and opened up a new studio. Above all, he wanted a space where family, friends, and artists could come together and make a positive impact on the community as well as be a constructive representation of the tattoo industry. Robert Pho's talent is considered legendary in the industry. He is known for his life-like portraits, soft shading, and ability to appeal to the natural lines and curves of the body when composing his pieces.
